Manchester United may have downplayed their chances of signing Harry Kane but, according to reports, they remain keen on the Tottenham star. It’s easy to see why given everything he’s achieved throughout his career so far. And Anthony Martial could be used as bait, with the France international facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford.

And with Tottenham keen on Martial, and admirers of the 27-year-old, a possible swap deal could be proposed.

Yet Martial was plagued by injuries and ended up scoring just nine goals across all competitions.

“All that stuff about having no money to spend was just a bluff,” he said.

“But Spurs are absolutely miles away from winning the big trophies so he’ll have to move, and United looks the most obvious destination.
