Harvey Elliott is seemingly trying to tempt his England under-21 teammate Levi Colwill into joining Liverpool this summer. The 20-year-old defender's future remains uncertain at Chelsea as he looks to discuss his next steps with new boss Mauricio Pochettino in the coming weeks.
Elliott and Colwill have both played key parts in England's stellar European Under-21 Championship campaign and are likely to start in the final against Spain on Saturday. Ahead of the big game, Colwill uploaded a picture to his Instagram of him lining up for the Young Lions with the caption: "One last push! Onto the final."
The Reds are in need of a new centre-back to bolster their defensive line and have been linked to Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven and Sporting Lisbon's Goncalo Inacio. But it is understood that Jurgen Klopp would love to bring Colwill to Merseyside.
When asked about transfer speculation surrounding him, Colwill said: "I'm not someone to predict the future. I take it day by day, but it's been an amazing journey. Who knows, we'll see what happens in the summer."
