Victor Wembanyama is one of the most exciting prospects to enter the 2023 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old is already one of basketball's most talked about players, despite having yet to set foot on an NBA court. But what do we know anout the French teenager and how did he catch the attention of LeBron James?

Standing at a staggering 7ft 4in tall, Wembanyama has been making headlines throughout his teenage years and is no stranger to going viral with his feats on a basketball court. He has just finished playing for Metropolitans 92, a club based in the Paris metropolitan area of Levallois-Perret and he finished the season winning five of the six end of season awards.

It wasn't long before Wembanyama's reputation began to spread overseas with his impressive skill on the ball, his shooting and physical presence. NBA icon LeBron James was one of the first to publicly take notice of the Frenchman's ability and potential.

It's been a dream come true for Wembanyama who opened up on his journey so far back in April. "I realised pretty young I wanted to play in the NBA but it becomes a reality more every day," Wembanyama said. "I'm so lucky to have this dream within the reach of my hand.
