Nikola Jokic continues unwanted NBA Playoff record as controversial call angers fans

Denver Nuggets center, Nikola Jokić has continued an unwanted record during this season's NBA playoff games. The 28-year-old Serbian has enjoyed another impressive campaign, but his solo efforts have not always been enough to drag his team over the line.

Following a controversial 108-111 home defeat to Miami Heat, the Nuggets have now failed to win any of their four playoff games when Jokić has scored more than 40 points. An impressive solo achievement, but a record the team won’t want.

Before then a 43 point haul wasn’t enough to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves back in April. 41 points before that still gave the San Antonio Spurs a victory back in May 2022.

The Nuggets will have a chance of redemption in game three on Thursday night when the two sides meet again. The previous encounter between the two sides saw Jokić top the scoring charts with a total of 27 points.
