It’s an open secret that Manchester United want a new striker to arrive this summer. And, at present, it’s Rasmus Hojlund who seems to be their No 1 target. However, while links to the Atalanta youngster are intensifying, it could all be a ruse given their admiration for Harry Kane.

Manchester United are more than happy to be linked with a variety of different strikers.

But United want a fresh marksman to lead their attack as they chase a first Premier League title since 2013.

But United could merely be using Hojlund’s name as a smokescreen as they look to strengthen their strikeforce.

Eric Bailly and Alex Telles aren’t wanted back, with the duo loaned to Marseille and Sevilla respectively last season.

Meanwhile, an unnamed scout has told The Mirror that United would be taking a huge risk with the signing of Hojlund.
