Tottenham set to cancel contract of player Antonio Conte called 'one of the world's best'

Tottenham are reportedly set to cancel the contract of a player Antonio Conte labelled as one of the world's best. Ivan Perisic's stay in north London could be coming to an end after just one season.

Perisic had long been linked with a move to the Premier League before finally joining Spurs last summer. He left Inter at the end of his contract to link up with his old boss Conte.

Italian football reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims Perisic is on his way out of Tottenham. He reports that a move is lined up for him to return to Hajduk Split in his native Croatia, a club he spent time at during his days as a youth player.

Conte was also glowing in praise of the effect Perisic could have on other players at the club. Ryan Sessegnon plays in the same position and Conte identified Perisic as a player to help the former England under-21 star.
