Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou sets record straight on Harry Kane as Bayern pursue deal

Ange Postecoglou is planning to build around Harry Kane and Son Heung-min at Tottenham next season and has told disgruntled supporters to expect goals from his attack-minded team. The Aussie has made it abundantly clear he intends to roll out an expansive style of play in north London with extra emphasis on finishing chances in the final third - which is why a summer transfer for Kane is simply out of the question.

Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is desperately trying to entice the England captain into a switch to the Bundesliga but Postecoglou seems confident the 29-year-old frontman will be staying put.

Finding the back of the net was no issue for Spurs last season, who struck 70 times in 38 Premier League matches but keeping them out at the other end proved to be their Achilles' heel after shipping 63 goals.

Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo is also a player of strong interest while Clement Lenglet could yet join on a permanent deal from Barcelona following his loan spell last season.

The 23-year-old talent struck four times in 19 top-flight matches last season for the Cottagers but really began to hit top form in the second half of the season upon return from injury.
