This summer, Manchester United are open to selling Fred. And that transfer decision has been made four years after Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who wants to buy the club now, hit out at the Brazil international. The midfielder has been linked with Fulham amid uncertainty over his Old Trafford future, while Jose Mourinho’s Roma have been credited with an interest as well.

Ratcliffe is currently a man in the spotlight, with the 70-year-old hoping to acquire United this summer.

"United have spent an immense amount since [Sir Alex] Ferguson left and been poor, to put it mildly. Shockingly poor, to be honest.

The United star often struggled for regular starting action last term, with Erik ten Hag choosing other players instead.

But Roma have been linked as well, with Mourinho previously signing the player for United in 2018.
