The NBA Draft is an annual event with this year's event taking place on Thursday, June 22 at 1am UK time (8pm EST) after all the regular, playoff and final games in the season have finished. All 30 NBA teams get their chance to select the brightest basketball prospects from around the world and the most talented and eligible names the college game has to offer.
The NBA Draft works by each team selecting the player they want from the list of talented players. But once that player has been selected, that team gets the exclusive rights to sign them.
