Manchester United takeover candidate Sheikh Jassim is known to be an admirer of Kylian Mbappe. However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has now ruled out the prospect of the France international leaving for free next summer. And that’s likely to force his compatriot into looking at alternative targets if, as expected, he manages to seize power from the Glazers.

Sheikh Jassim is currently believed to be the frontrunner in the race to buy Manchester United, ahead of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
