Mauricio Pochettino could have quite a different-looking team to the one he has inherited by the time Chelsea plays their first pre-season match against Wrexham on July 19. The former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain boss has taken the reigns at Stamford Bridge after The Blues suffered their worst Premier League season since 1994, finishing 12th in the table following a disastrous campaign.

Both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter were sacked during the troubled period with Frank Lampard returning as interim boss until the end of a dismal 10 months and now it has been left to former Argentina international Pochettino to reverse the club's fortunes.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that rising Brazilian star Angelo with travel to England this week to complete medical tests before signing a six-year deal with the West London outfit. His current club Santos are set to receive a £12.8m transfer fee as part of the deal.

Elsewhere, The Mail reports that Pochettino is said to be looking at a £25m deal for the highly-rated Flamengo midfielder Matheus Franca. Newcastle United had a £13.5m offer rejected for the Brazil U20 forward in January, with Flamengo's president Marco Braz telling Vene Casagrande: "We do not put Matheus Franca up for sale. He is not for sale. We are not interested in negotiating for Matheus Franca at this moment."
